Facilitates graphics change projects to be delivered accurately and on time, proactively identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans. Provides visibility of project status, costs, priorities, forecasts and results to category teams and other leadership to drive alignment. Act as KC Professional’s main contact for the external graphics production resource for any project management questions, prioritization of work, monthly invoice review and approval.
Enables strong performance of the cross-functional team by facilitating open communication and efficient decision-making, through weekly meetings and ongoing leadership. Provides direction on execution and collaborates with project owner/lead.
Champions the development and execution of graphics initiatives consistent with approved Brand strategies and plans, including annual and multi-year forecasts. Champions the review and approval process of packaging artwork through the operational process to drive speed to market with winning value propositions and products.
Provides leadership to enable strong performance of cross-functional teams while fostering positive working relationships. Proactively develops contingency plans with key functional areas to ensure timely resolution of potential issues and successfully deliver project objectives.
Provides consultation to Brand teams on project design briefs to include production and timeline considerations. Effectively communicates objectives, timelines and plans to appropriate cross-functional teams.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of K-C operations, technology and production capabilities, as well as supply chain processes to fully integrate operations and supply chain solutions and objectives into package development – to capitalize on cost reduction and production efficiency opportunities.
Understands the consumer, customer and competitive environment to ensure consistency and alignment with brand equity to drive category growth.
Decides the best practices for the Graphics Management process and drives standardization across Categories, including maintaining graphic change history in compliance with 21 CFR 820.120. Proactively identifies and implements process and reporting opportunities to continuously improve the Graphics Management process.
Recognized as the process subject matter expert, trains cross-functional team members regarding overall process and timing requirements to effectively plan and successfully execute projects/initiatives, as well as to sustain process consistency and best practices.
Department Specific Functions:
Works with category teams and leadership to deliver upon business objectives.
Utilizes external contracted resources to deliver short- and long-term business results.
Ensures the appropriate and effective protection for proprietary information.
Supports the execution and utilization of business practices/processes within the R&E organization including IMF, LEAN and Portfolio Management.
Ensures all work complies with corporate safety, regulatory, product safety and sustainability requirements.
Manages self in accordance with the One K-C Behaviors.
Ensures that all elements of the corporate Human Resources Development and Diversity and Code of Conduct policies are fully supported.
Communicates professionally and appropriately with all customers, conducting all communications and transactions with the utmost integrity and honesty so as to build an unimpeachable business reputation.
Education required: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications, Packaging Engineering, or Graphic Design.
5-7 years of experience with demonstrated accomplishments in packaging project management and an in-depth knowledge of packaging development and operations/supply chain processes.
Strong planning/organizing and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of end to end packaging and graphics development process, including printing processes.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and objectives.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and work with multi-functional project teams.
Excellent negotiation skills with ability to influence decisions across multiple functions and levels.
Ability to transform specific brand/customer/consumer goals into actionable plans across multiple functions and vendors/agencies.
Ability to manage allocated sector budgets, audit and approve invoicing, and accurately forecast spending for future activities.
Advanced knowledge of print and packaging industry.
Ability to communicate professionally in both oral and written form to inspire others to action; excellent presentation skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an environment with a high degree of change and uncertainty.
Self-directed, change agent, energizer and mobilizer - can quickly assess a situation, needed resources and drive execution.
Ability to train and build talent across functions and levels.
Explore and scout best practices across KC (KCNA, KCI) and external benchmarking companies.

Working knowledge of Esko Webcenter, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
