Project Manager- Huntsville, AL

Job Description:

The role of the project manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes manage complex print/packaging/product development projects from start to finish, strategic planning and scheduling of key projects, communicate efficiently with customers, work proficiently in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and manage many projects simultaneously. Must be willing to have an extremely flexible schedule often working from client or vendor sites.  Schedule and needs can change daily.  Travel about 20%, in office 80%.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Brainstorm ideas for greater efficiencies for similar projects in the future
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Program Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • At least some understanding of technical design and drawings (2D and 3D)
  • PDF creator/viewers (Adobe, Acrobat, Word)

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • At least three years of project management experience
