Prepress Graphics Project Coordinator - Cleveland, OH
Great opportunity available for a Graphics Project Coordinator to join our on-site client team in Cleveland Ohio. Looking for a rock star who has the business to work alongside our client. Experience working in Prepress, Graphic Design or highly proficient in creative applications such as Adobe Creative Suite a ++.
This role is key in trafficking files and organizing work to ensure approvals are received and client artwork and prepress needs are met. You will be working with and supporting the on-site team to include, Production Artist, Project Managers, Production Supervisor and Sales. This will require effectively communicating specifications for each piece of packaging artwork on assigned brands by utilizing SGS’ order entry system as well as being a resource for production departments when issues or questions arise.
Project Coordination Responsibilities
Facilitate jobs in the execution phase of our Client’s artwork and pre-press process for packaging production
Digital Asset Management (File upload & data entry into various computer software systems)
Maintain file transfer tracker (Microsoft Excel)
QC and editing of digital and hard proof art files (proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator preferred)
Supply/Inventory management (assist with any production needs in an office setting)
Gather, coordinate and communicate job-related information to production
Order entry (insure orders are complete and concise when delivered to production)
Review supplied data, and obtain technical assistance if necessary, to confirm data is correct to supplied art
Schedule and see that deadlines are being met on all aspects of the project
Review PDFs for questions/comments
Troubleshooting any issues with the plant
Shipping - print tools and tracking when necessary
Job Bags/Folder - Creation, organizing and storing
Communicate received and shipped art to On-Site Personnel/Sales
Communicate any and all issues to Management ASAP
Client/Supply Chain Interaction Responsibilities
Consult with On-Site Personnel and/or Client during the artwork development and pre-press execution
Attend pre-production meetings
Respond in a timely manner to Clients
Establish a good and professional working relationship with our Client(s), design firm(s), engravers and printers
Communicate artwork issues with On-Site Personnel/Sales/Printer
Respond in a timely fashion to requests of Client/On-Site Personnel/Sales and others
Document all critical and pertinent information that may impact quality
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience or schooling in the design, print or graphics industry preferred
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos
Proofreading skills required
Ability to work independently after initial training
